My mom fed her 8 children a dish she must have learned from my Baba (grandma), because my cousin's mom made the same thing...macaroni in milk, with butter and salt and pepper. True comfort food. My kids love it and always ask for it when they are around. Not very healthy, but sooo yummy, given the right amount of butter of course! Rice is so adaptable, it can make other diahes go a long way. Good thinking!

Blessings,
PamPamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05166196400691617718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6620217227921680671.post-62778997914213322052008-07-31T23:15:00.000-05:002008-07-31T23:15:00.000-05:00ohh goddess. this is funny.I can almost see gryphs...ohh goddess. this is funny.
I can almost see gryphs annoyance from this :)k.g grayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13738583495770718781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6620217227921680671.post-87446840071595266282008-07-31T21:34:00.000-05:002008-07-31T21:34:00.000-05:00Cath you make me laugh! I wasn't eating rice sandwiches today but for lunch I had the maybe one spoonful of marinated bean salad that was leftover and what had to be 1 1/2 cups of leftover rice. I mixed it all together and called it lunch. I really wish there would have been more bean salad left. So I know exactly what you are talking about!Cindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02388267373707402090noreply@blogger.com
